Cookie Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They allow the site to recognise your device on future visits, remember your preferences, and collect aggregated information about how the site is used. Similar technologies (local storage, pixel tags, fingerprinting) are covered by this policy where they are used in a comparable way.
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies we use on espanago.com, what they do, how long they last, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
2. Legal basis
We use cookies in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as implemented in Spain by Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), and equivalent UK regulations (PECR + UK GDPR).
- Strictly necessary cookies are placed automatically — they are essential for the Site to function.
- All other cookies (analytics, performance, marketing) require your prior, informed, and freely given consent. You give consent via the cookie banner shown on first visit. You can change your choice at any time — see Section 6.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for core site functions such as remembering your consent choice. They cannot be disabled.

3.2 Analytics cookies (consent required)

Note: Analytics providers and identifiers above represent our current and planned configuration. Active cookies on your visit reflect your consent choice.
3.3 Marketing / advertising cookies (consent required)
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, this Policy will be updated and your consent will be requested again before any such cookie is placed.
4. Third-party services and international transfers
Analytics cookies are operated by third-party providers (Google, Microsoft) that may transfer data to servers outside the European Economic Area, primarily in the United States. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. See Section 7 of our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Embedded content from external platforms
This site may link to external services (WhatsApp, Telegram). Following such a link opens the third party in a new tab and is subject to that party's own privacy and cookie policies. We do not embed third-party trackers, social plugins, or analytics beacons inside our pages without consent.
6. How to manage your cookie preferences
You can manage cookies in three ways:
- Via our cookie banner: visit the Your Data Rights page to reset your choice and trigger the banner again, or clear your browser storage for
espanago.com. - Via your browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site.
- Provider opt-outs: Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies we use or the providers we work with change. The current version is always at espanago.com/cookies/. The revision date is shown at the top of this page.
